ACEs

What is ACES? It stands for “Adverse Childhood Experiences”. Childhood experiences, both positive and negative, have a tremendous impact on future violence, victimization and perpetration, as well as lifelong health and opportunity. As such, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are an important public health issue.
What’s the good news? Whether you’re a caretaker, social worker, parent, prescriber, teacher or friend, you can be a part of the solution. When we all learn how take responsibility for preventing ACES, everyone’s life can change.
