Annual Run Supports Cross Country Teams, Scholarships

Edward Jones and Warren Coalition are pleased to team up for the Edward Jones 5K Race for Education, which benefits local high school athletes and students. This year’s race will be held Saturday, March 15th at Warren County Middle School. The annual fundraiser supports the Warren County High School and Skyline High School cross country teams, and provides scholarship funds for local high school students, to cover Advanced Placement testing fees and dual enrollment classes at Laurel Ridge Community College.

The course follows the length of Leach Run Parkway and back. Registration begins at 8:00 am; the race will begin sharply at 9:00 am, rain or shine. Walkers are welcome to register and participate in the camaraderie and help support these local causes. Baby strollers and leashed dogs are also welcome.

Learn more on the Facebook page at facebook.com/EdwardJones5k, or visit https://runsignup.com/Race/VA/FrontRoyal/EdwardJones to pre-register for the race. Early registration is currently $25 per adult participant and $20 for students; children four and under are free. The early bird registration prices are good through February 28th; after that, costs will increase by $5. Same-day registrations will be accepted.
