One of the important aspects of Project COURAGE is pairing students with volunteer mentors. These are people who can offer another means of support to a hurting child. We need both male and female mentors, ages 18 and up! As a mentor, you will be matched with a student in grades 5-8 and asked that you meet with the student once a week for a half-hour during your lunch time, during the school year only (no summers). It is okay to miss a week! Just let your student know so that they don’t feel abandoned.
Training and a background check are provided and required. Ongoing mentoring support is provided.
