A Global Day of Unplugging Event
Full schedule of events coming soon!
Warren Coalition is calling everyone in Warren County to participate in the Global Day of Unplugging from sundown, March 7-8, 2025, sundown to sundown. This is a day created by Unplug Collaborative, set aside for people to disconnect from phones and re-connect with themselves, nature, and especially with friends, family, and community—in person!
Studies have shown that smart phones, especially in relation to social media, have had a negative impact on our mental health and overall wellbeing. The U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, has deemed loneliness and isolation an epidemic in the US, publishing an advisory around it in May of 2023. The reliance on smart phones and social media for communication have contributed to this sense of loneliness.
To help keep you and your family engaged IRL (in real life) during the Day of Unplugging, organizations and businesses throughout Warren County provide special sales, activities, and events throughout the 24-hour period.
