A Global Day of Unplugging Event
Our 2026 Schedule is active! Details and additional events will be added as they are confirmed.

Take some time to intentionally disconnect from your phone March 6-7, 2026, and re-connect with yourself, nature, friends, family, and community—in person!
Studies have shown that smart phones, especially in relation to social media, have had a negative impact on our mental health and overall wellbeing. The U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, has deemed loneliness and isolation an epidemic in the US, publishing an advisory around it in May of 2023. The reliance on smart phones and social media for communication have contributed to this sense of loneliness.
To help keep you and your family engaged IRL (in real life) during the Day of Unplugging, organizations and businesses throughout Warren County provide special sales, activities, and events throughout the 24-hour period. Click below to register your intent to unplug, and you could win gift cards to local establishments!

Sign Up for the Warren County Global Day of Unplugging Challenge
Participants can enjoy events phone-free, and/or sign up show their intention to unplug during the 24-hour challenge. How you participate is up to you! Some people go phone-free during meals, or for a few hours. Some give up social media for the day. This is your decision for YOU!
In the week leading up to the Global Day of Unplugging, we send participants information about local activities and events taking place that day. Plus, they are entered into a drawing for prizes!
That’s right, prizes! Since we know that the idea of going without your phone can be a bit intimidating, we are offering some incentives–incredible gift cards from local restaurants and businesses. Signing up enters you into the drawing immediately.
