Our second annual Warren County Rocks Scavenger Hunt, a “We See You, Warren County” event, will be Sunday, April 28, 2024!

This event is a twist on the traditional scavenger hunt. Imagine puzzles of all kinds–a crossword, a word scramble, a riddle–that you and your teammate(s)/family must solve. Once you solve the clue, you are provided directions to a location where you search for special affirmation rocks. Once you find one, you then complete a challenge–throwing a pool noodle through a hula hoop, or playing a few rounds of Jenga as fast as you can, for example–which earns you points. When you’re done, you get your next puzzle, and on you go! The goal is to get done as quickly as you can while earning as many points in the challenges as you can, in search of the Overall Champion title! All funds raised will support Warren Coalition programs.

There will be two divisions this year: one for families and one for adult teams. The Family Division’s scavenger hunt will take place at 1 pm. The Adult Teams will go off at 3 pm. In between, there will be refreshments available and displays from local organizations. (Organizations can register to host a table online.)

Team registration is now open and runs through April 15, 2024. Registration for a team in either division is $100, which includes participation in the event, t-shirts, and food.

Teams may choose to participate in a fundraising competition that will count towards the overall Warren County Rocks Scavenger Hunt Championship Title. It is similar to the concept of a walk-a-thon; you simply ask people to sponsor your team! This makes it possible for everyone to achieve the minimum of $100 fairly quickly.

It is possible to win the title without participating in the fundraising competition, but the added points from the fundraising competition can certainly help. The fundraising competition will begin April 5, 2024 and run through April 27, 2024. To participate, simply continue asking for sponsorships after you reach the minimum registration fee of $100.

This is a ‘We See You, Warren County’ event. And although being a member of We See You, Warren County is not required to participate in the event, if you’ve not yet joined, please register for free online by clicking HERE (note – this is different from simply joining the We See You, Warren County Facebook group).
