A Taste for Books

A Taste for Books has been held at SAMUELS PUBLIC LIBRARY every April since 2012. All proceeds go towards improving the resources the library offers to the community – like providing literacy programs, buying new books, hosting free programs, or updating public computers.
Attendance has increased each year, with around 250 guests in 2019. Each year has a theme, and this year it’s On the High Seas. It’s an evening event where local businesses, community organizations and others volunteer to host buffet tables at the library featuring decorations and dishes inspired by all things nautical.
